My Bachelorette Party:: Lake of the Ozarks

My gals did such an AMAZING job planning a fun bachelorette party for me! We rented a condo and boat at the Lake of the Ozarks a couple of weekends ago and had so much fun! Every little detail was absolutely perfect and I had the best time with all of my favorite girlfriends.

Here's a breakdown of our weekend (fair warning - I'm about to share A LOT of pictures!):

We arrived at the Lake around noon and our first stop was Vista Grande for lunch and margaritas of course! Most of the girls were able to make it for lunch and it was such a fun way to kick off the weekend!

Once we finished a few pitchers of margaritas, we were off to spend a few hours by the pool at the condo. The water was a little chilly but we still sipped a few drinks, giggled a little too much, and made a couple new friends. One of my girlfriends brought a giant diamond ring pool float and it was one of my favorite accessories of the weekend!

While we were at the pool my sister and a couple of the girls decorated the condo and every last bit of it was so adorable! We all had matching koozies, tanks to wear on the boat the next day, and tons of other fun accessories. All of the girls even brought a pair of underwear for a game where I had to guess who bought each pair. I only got three correct but it was such a fun and funny game!

After the games and gifts, it was time to get cleaned up for dinner at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. My mom beat us there and grabbed us a table. She had ordered an "Adult Root Beer" that was SO good that it ended up being my drink of choice throughout dinner. Once we were all finished eating, we headed to Dog Days for a little more fun before heading back to the condo to rest up for our boating adventure the next day.

I woke up bright and early and was so excited to get the day started. Luckily, most of the other girls were also early risers and we kicked off our morning with breakfast and mimosas. We had rented a boat from Playdate Charters that was scheduled to pick us up at 10:00 so we headed down to the dock a little before then.

The one downfall of not having any men with us is that us girls were stuck carrying the coolers down three flights of stairs. We may have had one cooler accident that sent jello shots flying, but we managed to make it to the dock with the majority of our drinks still in tack!

Unfortunately our boat was a little late, but once it showed up we hopped on and decided to go cove out for a while. One of the best features of the boat was a giant lily pad! It held nearly all of us so we ended up spending a few hours lounging, laughing, and listening to some good ole country music.

Around two o'clock we decided it was time to head to a bar and ended up at Backwater Jacks. They had a pool and swim up bar, so it was right up our alley! I told myself at the beginning of the weekend that I didn't want to take shots, but I swear it's impossible not to take shots when you're the bride! They were being bought for me left and right, and I had zero will power to say no. Eventually, I started telling people they had to buy one for all 14 of us if they were going to buy one for me just to slow things down a bit. It worked. :)

Honestly, the thought of 14 girls taking showers and trying to get cute for a night out (after a full day of drinking) stressed me out so we decided to have the boat take us back to the condo to drop our coolers and just do a really quick hair and makeup refresh. Then we hopped back on the boat and had it drop us off one last time at Dog Days where we ended up dancing the night away.

The weekend was seriously so much fun and I love all the memories that were made. I am so grateful to have such an amazing group of girlfriends. They sure do know how to make a gal feel loved. It was definitely the best way to wrap up all of the pre-wedding festivities!

Only 12 more days until I'm officially a Haines!!
