A couple weeks ago, a group of eight of us went to the Lake of the Ozarks for our second annual couples weekend! Six of us went last year and had so much fun that we decided it needed to be an annual trip. This year we added a couple more friends, and many more laughs!

After work, four of us hopped in the car and off to the Lake we went. Once we got there, we checked into our condo and then went to grab some dinner at Frankie and Louie's. After the rest of the group arrived, we ended our evening on the condo patio sipping a couple drinks, playing games, and enjoying each other's company.

We woke up, made breakfast, and headed to the marina to meet our boat for a Playin Hooky booze cruise. The boat took us to several bars in the area including Frankie and Louie's again, Jolly Rogers, and Coconuts. The boys were out of their element and it took a while for them to loosen up, but once they did, we all had the best time!

After the booze cruise, we were all starving so we tried to find somewhere to grab dinner. After much debate we ended up just going back to the condo and grilling. It was a long day for us so pretty much everyone was in bed early except a couple of us girls. Girl talk kept us up a couple more hours before we called it a night, too.

The boys woke up early to go play golf and us girls decided to sleep in a bit before going to The Pancake House for breakfast. We spent the rest of our morning/afternoon lounging at the pool. The weather was perfect and it was a very relaxing day for us.

Once the boys got back from golf they joined us at the pool for a while before we all cleaned up and went to Paradise for dinner. After dinner, we decided we just wanted to go back to the condo and hang out. The boys swam a little more, we played a couple more games, and soaked up the last night of our weekend getaway.

Next year, our third annual couples weekend will fall right around Emily and my 30th birthdays. We are thinking we might need to go somewhere better than the Lake to celebrate that milestone. Cabo maybe?!
