Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!

Happy Thanksgiving all! I will be spending my day enjoying time with family and eating too much delicious food. In true Thanksgiving fashion, I thought I would share some of the things I am thankful for:
  • My family - God has truly blessed me with the most wonderful family. I don't know what I would do without them.
  • Michael - If you would have told me six years ago that I would be madly in love with this boy, I would have told you you were nuts! Today, I am so thankful to have him in my life. He keeps me sane, makes me laugh, lifts me up when I'm feeling down, and supports me no matter what.
  • Best friends - As I've gotten older, I've realized how important it is to surround yourself with people who make you a better person. That is exactly what my best friends do. They are some of the most thoughtful, caring, and fun people that I know and they make me and my life so much better.
  • Being Auntie Em - Being an aunt is seriously the best feeling in the world! My nephew is the silliest, cutest, most fun little boy that I know. I'm so excited for nephew number two to be here early next year!
  • My job - I am grateful to have a job that allows me to have the financial freedom required to fulfill my need for adventure. This year particularly, I have had the opportunity to travel and make some great memories with all of the people I mentioned above which to me is what life is all about.
  • Thanksgiving dinner - If I had to pick a favorite holiday, I would pick Thanksgiving because let's be real, the food is amazing! Any time it is more than acceptable to eat all the turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, and pie that my little heart desires is a great day in my books. Family time doesn't hurt either. :)
  • Small towns - When I was younger, I never really appreciated my hometown. It was small, boring, and I wanted out. I moved away for college and then to St. Louis to start my career. It didn't take long after for me to realize that I took that small, boring town for granted. I am so thankful that I have ended up in another small town where I can enjoy our simple, country life.
  • Down time - Life is hectic. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of trying to be everywhere and do everything. I am grateful for my "me time" where I can get wrapped up in a good book, hit the gravel road for a jog, or binge watch my favorite TV shows
I hope you enjoy your day, I know I will!

P.S. My incredibly talented friend made the print above. I just love it. I have it framed in my kitchen and it serves as a subtle reminder to give thanks every day.
